I rode on flats today

And I did not like it one bit. Got some skills courses coming up and we've got to use flat pedals so I'm trying to get some practice in. Proved I was using the SPDs improperly though, tried to lift the front wheel at one point and jumped off the pedals :oops:
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

    pff i'd be exactly the same, no good without spd's now, been on them for years i think at least since 2004/5 at least

    i changed to flats about a month ago, miles more confidence on decents.
    be carefull of them biting your shins tho :shock:

    flats and ht's are the best. spd's and fs are for for wimps

    or we could start a flats and inflated debate instead? there's a new argument, so flat tyres make you look rock hard and provide excellent grip and noise... :roll:

    Most folks will dislike the sort of pedals they're not used to, because you have to relearn basic skills and that's a total downer when you've got used to being alright, all of a sudden you're a knobber again :lol:

    Yep, that was me yesterday :oops:

    Still loved the new berms at Lee Quarry though, should be even better with the secuirty of SPDs :wink:
