Using SEARCH

How do I use SEARCH on this forum?

Example:

I want to search for the term 'Elixir CR', but will ony pick out anything with 'Elixir' or 'CR'

I've tried using the AND, OR, NOT but they don't work!!!

Tried: 'Elixir AND CR' returns the same result as 'Elixir'. Rubbish! or is it me?

Help.

I think the engine ignores some two letter terms.

there is bound to be some cross over.

But... I know what you mean. The search on this forum is crap when searching for specific stuff.

I'm not sure its that...

IE.... search for "X" AND "y".

Its wil bring back results that only have "X" or only have "Y" or contains both.

When you expect it to only bring back threads containing both terms.

I wouldnt even rate it that highly. There was an article about sram x7 10 speed a couple of weeks back. It took me an age to track it down

Are you using the forum search not the site-wide search? Site-wide search is pants, we know.

Or try a search like this at google:

elixir site:http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/

I agree, it's hard to find anything using search on this site - forum or the whole site. It's no Google, that's for sure!

Notice it has only highlighted elixir. Is that because cr is too small?
