Just been looking at the annodised (I think they're anno anyway) chainrings - £40 for three. But I can't decide if red rings are gonna be overkill! Any pictures of a build with the coloured rings on?

edit just changed spelling and dropped the link in. I know how picky some of you boys are

I've got some spare cash to bling the ellsworth but I'm not sure if anno is the way forward. I'm uprating the brakes so I'll get some floatings to go with it... but whch colour and are the anno red chainrings overkill?0

and floating rotors are £23.99, they are also saying that they are selling a dual chain device. i think they just haven't got any stock in yet0 -
If you dont want to go completely Red, look up "MOWA" on google. They've been doing ano chainrings for ages.
Can't speak for the durability, but they do seem to have some pretty good kit in their line-up. I've just bought a few tarty orange bits off them for the 456 (not chainrings though).
AFAIK, they're from Sweden, so maybe Nick has heard of them before?0 -
Cant say about the red rings but I have had a Superstar black anodised 44t ring on my hardtail for about 2 months and so far it looks fine and changes up just as well as the shimano deore ring it replacedFig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

i think the superstar floating rotors are coming out sometime this spring. you could get some ano red chainring bolts too? (but only if you don't get red chainrings)0

Personally I think they are going to look bad after a few rides...judging by the state of my chain rings anyway, if it's a fair weather bike you might get away with it, but otherwise I'd be surprised if the colour stayed on the teeth for long.
Shame they don't do something like this, but in coloured, with the teeth left uncoloured if you get what I mean:
