    Yes, sodden.

Freedom of choice and all that, but I find it a bit irritating when fellow commuters choose not to fit mudguards to their bikes. In the mornings you can just overtake, but in the evenings along congested areas like Lower Thames St and the Embankment you just get sprayed with crap. A bit selfish, in my opinion.

Oh I dunno - keeps the drafting fairies at bay. I'm not besmirching my frame with 'guards, back off or MTFU and get a grubby face.

    +1.
    FCN 2-4.

Not you that passed me at the end of the runway whilst I was foolishly watching a plane land overhead instead of heading back to home as any sensible person who has just seen pitch black sky heading his way would do?

I passed a guy on a hybrid or mtb about 200m after the end of the tunnel but he was cycling not ogling? about 7.10pm.

I was brutally scalped climbing the Chevin out of Otley by a guy in a white gilet?...all legal and decent and he said hello, but VERY depressing.

I was around there a bit earlier - I think it was about 6:30 when I got in to Calverley. I find the tunnel a bit depressing anyway so I go via the West end of the runway and past Yeadon Tarn.

Have you tried Old Pool Bank as a way out of Wharfedale? It has a certain painfully direct charm to it

Certainly agree, although personally I find Old East Chevin almost harder because although it's less steep, it's longer and a bit tedious - 15% for what feels like ages. On OPB, after you've honked up the short 20% bits, the 15% bits almost feel like a rest!

I'm sure you've tried all the other little killers out of Wharfedale, like Ardsley...if you're ever down in Shipley, try Wrose Road up from Windhill. 20% and more...but with the significant performance incentive that if you stop, the local kids will stone you and nick your bike.

Am offering up a little prayer for the wind to blow this one through by 6, but it's looking like a long shot at the moment.

Surely that shows what has happened, rather than what will happen, or is this a special kind of website?

It does show what's been and gone, but at least lets you make a decent guess at what else is on the way.

    Got out of work, drizzle.
    Half a mile, heavy rain.
    A mile, hail.
    Then heavy rain again.
    Then drizzle.
By the time I reached SheBu, blue sky.

Still, can't put me in a bad mood, it's WEEKEND, YAY!

Guys - sorry this was all my fault. On Monday I took my overshoes out of my kit bag as I wouldn't need them for the summer. I also considered removing my raceblades.

Oh how I've paid for angering the weather Gods. Looked like I'd been in the bath when I got home on Tuesday, and Wednesday's headwind was "interesting"...
    FCN 5ish. Unless hungover.
