Hi,,
i have been told go for a good used bike than buying a low level new bike,
I have a choice between a Used 2006 Giant Reign 1 or 2010 Giant Trance x4.
what would you recommend?
the Giant Reign comes with Fox Talas 36's, Fox RP3 Rear Shock, X0 Rear Mech, XT Front Mech, SRAM X9 Shifters (Front & Rear) Hayes Nine Carbon Brakes, Race Face Evolve XC Cranks, Funn Limited Edition Pedals, Easton Seat Post & Stem, Deity Saddle, SRAM Redwin Cassette, WTB Wheelset, E-Thirteen Bash

meant to say, I want a bike that is a good all rounder,,not specific at anything but just a decent bike. Needs to be good at climbing as well because plenty of hills around me.0

What is your budget? Are you familiar with the mechanics of a bike? (ie to check over and service a 2nd hand one?)0

Started off with a Budget of about 500-600 but this could go up now to 8 or 9 hundred!
I started looking at a Giant Yukon but now I was told get a better used one.
no I would need to learn about servicing bikes to be honest and bikes that Im looking at would have to be shipped.0 -

Giant trance X4 way lighter bike, but the reign will be a little tougher, if you can stretch though go for trance0
