    It doesn't take much expertise to say who isn't a future GT contender. Just list all the riders you know, and most will turn out not to be GT contenders. It's too easy.
    The expertise is in saying who will be a future tour contender, whether they spent yesterday racing on the track or making BMX videos for youtube. Maybe Meyer will be.

    Also, whilst Wiggins' tweet was typical hyperbole, and Mick Rogers is defending a mate, remember that these guys are probably basing their assessment of Meyer's road future on something more substantial than just his ride in one points race!
