Hey guys.

I have a Specialised elite wireless computer on my bike and recently installed some new lights as well. It appears if the lights are on they stop my computer from reading the magnet...? IE the computer thinks i have stopped. Has any one else experianced this? What can I do to prevent this? If anything?

It's common one, the only thing you can do is to move the head unit of the Speedo further away from the light.

are they led lights. that will be the switch mode current limiter in the light throwing out radio frequency interferance and distorting the radio signal from your speedo sender. the only way you'l stop it is if you can put a ferrous core around the inductor coil in the lights. if you want reliability wired is the only way to go.

be careful. most decent led lights have swith converters so could do the same. check before you buy if you can.

Just normal lights... with a bulb should be ok shouldn't it?

My wireless computer shows 32mph when startionary and my LED is on.

And 64mph sitting on the induction loop at traffic lights.

    Not exactly the best shielding...
