    Allegedly, the designer is one of the Italian greats - Gae Aulenti, but I think this might have been a last-thing-Friday number.

    Believe me, that is quite modest for some of these, ahem, design classics. Italian furniture can show Italian bikes a thing or two about paying a premium for a name.

    Sorry, is this meant to make me (and my guests) think of cycles or wheelchairs. I'm not sure. I suspect maybe the lack of a small wheel means I'm meant to think cycles but the fact that they are on castors makes me think wheelchair.........
