Good afternoon,
I am upgrading a full suspension bike that i have rescued from landfill. I will be looking to change the front forks in a couple of weeks and am finding it hard to find somewhere that sells 1" threaded forks. I don't really want to spend extra money to replace the headset as i have serviced the current headset and it is in good condition already.
Any ideas ??
Thanks
Andy J

Ebay will be your best bet. You can get new 1 inch threadless forks from Dt Swiss and Marzocchi, but not cheap.
Just ensure it has the right brake fittings and roughly same travel.0 -
Also, check out the classifieds section on www.retrobike.co.uk
There are always loads for sale on there.0 -
If you can't find any threaded ones then a decent local bike shop should be able to cut a thread on it, provided it ain't an ally steerer.0
