Evening All
No posted much here befor, but read quite a bit, after buying a Giant Yukno last year I've really got back into my riding.
Anyway after a tough session the other weekend I noticed that the cable on the lock out system wasn't working, I can lock the folks but when I release them they do not unlock, The cable goes slack but the dial doesn;t turn. I have had a quick lok tonight but not solved the problem. I can turn the dial to unlock but it just won;t do it without a helping hand.
Any advise would be great.
Thanks

strip and clean the cable."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers Nick
I'll give it a go tonight, wasn't sure if there was a spring or something that might have been lost?0 -
No luck tonight striped the cable and cleaned, but no change. I unsure exactly how the lock out works, but i would imagine that without a cable attached you shouldn;t be able to lock the folk , the u lock should spring back to unlock with out the cable stopping it. This doesn't happen.it some time returns sometimes doesn't and when you fell it return it feels lumoy as it turns back.
Think I'll stop by the bike shop tomorrow0 -
take the blue dial off and see how it looks under there might just be muck or a duff O ring."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Nah Nick I done that, with the blue washer of I can turn the nut shape cap, which will lock the folk, but i would expect that to spring back when I let go (the same as not being undetension from the cable) but it sticks then moves a little, then some times springs back, i feel it my be some bearings and springs within the top of the damper, which seems to be a sealed unit. I looked at the spares list sram website.
I've a feeling this could be getting expensive, mind you could give a reason for some new folks0 -
if you are up for it remove the compresion stack and have a look as if the spring has come disloged it is not that hard to re fit/position."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
