Worth changing brake calipers from no-name -> 105?

So I bought some Shimano 105 brake callipers, with the intention of putting the no-name ones on my 2009 Trek 1.5 on my commuting bike, and putting the 105s on the 1.5. However, commuting bike suffered some catastrophic damage and had to be put down, leaving me with two 105 callipers and a £50 hole in my bank.

Will I see any benefit from upgrading to the 105s on the Trek, or should I just send them back? Obviously don't want to try them out as it'll hurt the resale value if they aren't any better.

Thanks,

Unless your old calipers are very worn swapping to 105 would not be a noticeable improvement.
