Hey there,

Was wondering if anyone has had experience with both Slx double m665 and Older type m800 Saint cranks. How they compare with power transfer, robustness etc? Your personal experiences?

Many thanks!

The Saint is the strongest crank Shimano do. Even with a single chainring it is 100g heaver than the double and bash SLX.

But there is tough, and tough enough ;-)

How are you going to use said crank? Check out our reviews of these too.
  • They are for my bottlerocket, which I ride up as well as down, so I need to go with a double setup and the new saint double is out of my price range. So new Slx or used Saints are my likely options?

new slx should be tough enough for anything you're going to throw at that bike
