Fitting lock on grips

I have just got new lizard skins charger lock on grips. The rings that go on the ends of each grip won't go on the end of the grips. Any advice of methods/tools to get them on?

If you look on the rings there is a cut-out, there is also a cut-out on the end of the grips, line them up and force one side in with your fingers and then the other one, they will feel like they wont go on but they will, have a pair myself.......you will have to give them a good push, a little washing up liquid can help if your'e struggling but only use a little amount or your fingers will be slipping all over the place.

thanks, i'll try that. just didn't want to break them, so didn't press too hard before

make sure you've unscrewed the bolts until they're definitely not adding any pressure.

Either a little bit of soapy water or a gentle tap with a rubber mallet.

And is it it better to have the screws completely out?
