Hi all

Another from the dark side here. After too long lurking i thought i had better sign up!

I have been riding bikes for as long as i can remember and up until 12 months ago was happy crashing along singletrack in the mud....until my eyes were opened to the world of funny shaped bars and skinny wheels!

I love getting out in to the countyside and was amazed how i could knock out 40 miles before work (when i start at 2pm) and get to places i'd only ever driven to.

The problem is i spent the thick end of £900 on a mountain bike and then discovered road bikes! doh. Currently ride a Giant SCR. Oh what i could have done with £1200 for the road!

Anyway glad to be here and look forward to joining in!

Alec

I like to mix it up
Yesterday was single speed rigid off road night ride
    Sunday is 100K reliability ride
Last Sat was 2 hour race on a cross bike

Plenty of mistresses eases the guilt :D

Mrs Wallace thinks its not too bad for the following reasons:

    - I show her cycling on tv and in C+ and drop in that bike is worth £5000 thereby making stems and bottle cages in varying colours and materials look like pocket change.

    - my car was written off last year so cycling to work means money spent on the bike is like petrol for a car!

I dont know how to jusify a new bike tho, already tried the no car line.

I know im not the only one here who has little white lies!?
