hi guys

I have just bought a Santa Cruz jackal frame to replace my upgraded specialized hard rock frame and have transferred all my parts to the frame without a problem, except for my rear disc mount which is so close to disc it slightly scrapes against it.

Do i need a thinner disc mount for the frame or am i doing some thing wrong?

any help would be a help

thanks

so without the caliper fitted the adaptor is rubbing on the disc?

  • If it's doing the above.

Try a wider lock nut (or lock nut and the inner part upto the race) on the axel, may only need to be 1mm wider to push the chain stays out by that amount and stop the rubbing.

Or get the IS mount faced, if you 'face' it more you'll shave off some metal moving the mount futher away from the rotor.
  • it was rubbing without the calliper on ill try a wider lock nut.

    thanks guys

    OverLocknut Dimension. should be 135mm

also the lock nut face to the disc flange should be 15mm

see the disc mount info in the FAQs.
