Juicy 7 Internals - Proper alignment...

Hi guys,

Rrecently been overhauling my juicy 7's... overhaul instructions dont make one part very clear (Turn clockwise until worm gear is completely
inside lever body, then back off three turns. This
is the correct installation setting.) (Point 28 of Lever Overhaul in Avid Tech Manual)

Here's a pic of the said internals
- should there be the gap there (highlighted on pic) or is it correct placement?

I believe the gap contributes to the Pad Contact Point Adjustment ???

Any help much appreciated
