Dude's and Dudette's,
I'm looking to get my other half in to a lycra shorts so I can perv at her peachy bum. On the flip side she will need a bike to go with them. She has never mountain biked and the last time she cycled was over 15 years ago.
We are not sure if she will love it as much as me so the plan is to get her second hand bike for her to test the water with.
Has anyone used http://www.thebikestation.org.uk/ in Gods own city of Edinburgh? what are the bikes like? Are they revived Halford specials or will I be able to pick up a rough diamond for £200 which can be upgraded if loves cycling?
Cheers

They're a mixture, but there's a bias towards the low end with lots of cheap mountain bikes, hybrids, and older road bikes.
It's a great resource for odd bits and cheap hacks but you aren't all that likely to find something good for serious off-road riding, though you might get lucky. They do have some decent mtb frames for sale but you'd have to build it yourself then and the cost of parts would quickly add up.
My suggestion would be to watch gumtree, and makes sure you ask lots of questions. You could also ask on the forums.

Cheers MajorMantra,
I might have to pop down there at the weekend and have a Uganders.
Gumtree can be hit and miss, re stolen bikes, but not as bad as Spittlefield Market. 90% of the bike must have been nicked.
This one has "Hot!" writen all over it.
