Ahoy All - firstly apologies for posting this question in the wrong place (replies). DOH.
Just finding my way on the forum set-up.
I'm currently fitting campy carbon c/set ,instructions state that the cups should be fitted
hand tight, I assume this means not useing the tool at-all.
Why 'only' hand tight???
Thanks for your time.

I thought that there were 2 options, hand tight + loctite222 or tighten with a torque wrench to 42Nm?

I'm now looking at the Campag instilation pdf and it has 3 options:

    1) Handtight + loctite 222 (prefered method)
    2) When loctite isn't available,tighten to 35Nm (not 42Nm as I had guessed)
    3) When the BB hasn't been faced, hand tighten + loctite 222.

Thanks for the info. Had 'another'look at the instuctions and appreciated the 3 options
that you mention.Age doesnt make us any 'wiser',however taking the 'time'to read things
