Hi guys n gals.
Just wondering if the more experienced among us can recommend me a fork upgrade around £150. I currently have a gt xc2 with suntour xcr forks. The forks feel way too soft for my weight (16st). I really dont have a clue as i've only been biking a few months.
Answers on a postcard please!

I don't know much about XC forks, but I do know the Suntours are entry level so you could quite easily benefit from a fork upgrade.
I just went onto CRC (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=613&CurrentPageIndex=0&SortExpression=PRICE_ASC) and sorted the suspension forks by price - for £100-£150ish you can pick up a set of Rockshox Darts or Toras. I would do some research into both these models.
Personally I have never ridden Darts or Toras but I have ridden both Rockshox Recons and Boxxers for some time and I was/am extremely impressed with both.0 -
Not worth upgrading to a dart really - but Tora Solo Air, very much so.0

Ok so the tora solo airs look like winners. Now im being really picky! Do they do them in white?? Would these need a specific fork pump or can my tyre pump suffice? Thanks again peeps.GT XC2 090

Ignore the suggestion of darts in my above post then :P - as suggested by people who know a little more about XC forks!0

You'll need a shock pump for them.0

Subscribe to wiggle's newsletter and you'll get a £5 off code, making the forks £168.99.
Mine didn't come with a shock pump, but came with a manual and the poploc.

Probably worth mentioning that the manuals are usually available online and obviously the box doesn't make much difference once they're fitted!0 -
My OE Recon Race from wiggle came with a manual, but no haribo... Thankfully, there was an extra something in my delivery of a DDXG shock pump and a Lifeline pedal spanner================
