Happy Saturday to all.
Today I have some work that needs doing (Bad Times)
But I will also be looking to buy some new brakes (Good Times)
Thinking about maybe getting some Funn F2 Terrain Carbons. They sem to get decent reviews (from what I can find) and they come in Orange
What's on the cards for you 'orrible lot then?

Oh, if you do, then I recommend "The Taking of Pelham 123" (the new one). Watched it last night and thought it was really good.
Also watched "Daybreakers" the other day, that was pretty good too.0 -

I am suffering greatly from last night. Will put my bike back together when I feel up to it with fresh rubber and innertubes then take it for a spin to clear the shite way I feel at the moment. Tonight will be in the Sgt's mess for 22 yr dine outs. tomorrow will be feeling poo again.+ 1001 posts reset by the cruel cruel moderators!

Ho hum.. what a day
It was all iced up here this morning so I decided not to do a few miles on the roadster bike.
Instead been working on my new home workstation as my old PC was creaking
For the geeks: 2 x Xeon 5355, 2.66GHZ Quad Core with 8MB Cache. 12MB system RAM, Intel S5520 Mobo, ATI Radeon 5870 1GB (DVI) A couple of Terabytes of Enterprise class SATA disk and two opticals
OS: cut down XP Pro until one day I can take the time to workout which of the unwanted / unneeded gumph to carve out out of Vista
(Before anyone recommends the TinyXP/TinyVista builds.. they're great but wont run Office which I sadly need)
It also has a 6 drive hot swap bay too and this is where it got interesting for me. As the bay is "hot swap" to make 'Doze understand how to use it and allow me to shove drives in and yank 'em out at will (with caution) I had to do the "F6, Load 3rd party [Intel AHCI support] driver" thing, have disk... So as FDD controllers are so last decade I do have a USB FDD drive. Did I have a 1.44MB FDD anywhere in the house? No.. so epic fail until I went out and sheepishly bought a box like a real low tech putz
Anyway it's working now, I've migrated 600GB plus of data from the old PC and done all the Windoze updates.. now to reload the games then get HackOS and FreeBSD 7.2 on the other boot disks.
Another "two hour max job" that's taken me most of the day. Let's hope tomorrow brings better weather..0 -
