cube acid vs merln malt 1

hi all

Im trying to decide whether to buy a cube acid or a merlin malt 1 and I was wandering if anyone had an opinion either good or bad about these two bikes, just to help me make my mind up.

Which MALT 1 (as you can customise the spec)

i would probably just upgrade the forks to the Rockshox Recon SL

The MALT would have a far better spec than the acid then.

Merlin Malt 1 any day, Got 1 a couple of weeks ago. They are a get handling bike which is well spec and you can spec it to your own requirements, also a great price. Hired a cube acid at whinnlatter before xmas, good bike but it only comes with Rock shock Dart3 folks, which aren't as good as the Tora SL on the Malt in standard form before you do any upgrading, so for the extra cash for the cube is it really worth it ? They are some pictures of my malt1 in "your bikes" section in the forum.

You won't be disappointed been out on mine again 2day, its such a great ride. Will look forward to seeing some pictures of it on the forum. What spec are you going for?

malt 1 frame with recon sl forks, race face evolve xc finishing kit and avid elixir 5 brakes

should turn out to be a decent bike.
