Old frame requiring rear disc set-up?????

Currently got a Spesh hardrock Comp 1999 and want to put a rear disc onto it.
has anuone out there done such a thing or know of how to do it??Is it even possible???

I looked into this a few years ago & came across this:

I used one when Disc's first started to come popular on an old Kona frame, though it worked ok once set up, I think it would be better to start with newer frame that is made for a rear disk brake.This is why!0
