Just noticed that my brake rotor's have worn, and so causing my pads to wear quicker. The question is simply is it best to replace the rotor like for like. Or does anyone have any recommendations? I'm using Avid Juicy 5's on a 160mm rotor.

I have tried loads of rotors and cannot tell the difference, so just went back to the cheap shimano ones.
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

I assume you have an Avid G2 rotor? You can save a bit of weight using a G3 rotor.

EDIT: Looking into it, it's only a claimed 10g per rotor.

Weight is beneficial on the rotors, I'd go with the G3.
Suffering from the light bike fat git syndrome.
  • If you want to save sme weight look at the Ashima rotors,on Merlin.
