http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8521598.stmThe Dutch developers told BBC News the site was designed to prove a point about the dangers of sharing precise location information on the internet.
The site scrutinises players of online game Foursquare, which is based on a person's location in the real world."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

So they are raising awareness by making burglars lives a bit easier? :shock:0

i would say they are showing how stupid some people are."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

it's a fair point, the stuff that people reveal about themselves on Facebook/ Twitter etc is asking for trouble
( On arelated note, there's a well known taxi firm in Glasgow run by gangsters that you shouldn't use to travel to and from Glasgow Airport. Why? Because, knowing you are going away on holiday, they then burgle your house. Naming names might be libellous but they have something in common with the national stdium...)Giant Trance X 2010

I totally agree, but don't you think the lesson is a little harsh!?!0 -
why?
look at Google and Buzz what a fcuk that was at launch.
dont forget that the info is only from what people "tweet" or put on that "game" and does not actually reflect the situation of their home as it would then rely on everyone being single or not house sharing."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

This seems to be a global phenomenon....I have heard the same story of taxis in bermuda, edinburgh, london and madrid....
not really sure if its an urban myth or not...having never spoken to anyone who has actually had their house burgaled by the criminal mastermind behind intelligence gathering taxis!Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.
