Hi, even when I pump my Reba's up to pressures of about 130psi there is still a lot of sag without me sitting on the bike, therefore the suspension hasn't got its full travel. I can also use all of the travel quite easily without applying to much force, i was therefore wondering whether its got anything to do with the pressures inside the positive and negative chambers or whether the fork has been set up incorrectly?

Thanks for your time.

What pressure is in the negative chamber? What is your actual sag?

We have a guide in the FAQ on how to set these up (dual air)

How much do you weigh, I'm around 10 stone and have over 100psi in there. If you're a big guy you might just need more pressure.

Although as sonic suggests it might be down to too much in your negative chamber.

  • They are the 09 model, with Poploc, dual air. (If that helps).

I am 9.5 stone, and according to the rockshox estimation the reccomended pressure should be about 105psi for me. Ive got them at around 130 at the moment and the problem hasn't gone. In the negative chamber the pressure is 105psi.

The sag at the moment without me on the bike is atleast 15%, and with me on the bike around 25%. It doesn't change much when I put more pressure into the forks.

  • From reading Supersonic's guide how to set up dual air forks, i think it would be better to start from scratch and set the fork up again and see where I am then. And is it ok if i release all the pressure from the forks? and in which oreder eg + before - ?

    Thanks anyway

Turn the bike upside down and let the -ve out, then right way up and let +ve out.

With your -ve that much lower than +ve, the forks will be 'sucked down' into the travel. what happens when you've got equal pressures?
