Hey guys, looking for some advice on buying a new(ish) bike.

I had a long term loan of a freinds bike a Merida Trail 2, similar to this http://www2.merida-bikes.com/en_GB/Bikes.Detail.59, for a while know but i need to get my own bike though im a bit strapped for cash these days!

Anyways Glentress and selling of their old 09 exhire Kona Caldera for £350.

Anyone advise if this is a good deal in their opinion, obv is a big saving on the rrp.

Im a beginner in the technical jargon of mtb but i seems to be very similar to what i was riding?

Any thoughts?

Thanks in adavance

Alan

  • i have an 07 caldera, never missed a beat, a definite bargain at £350!!!
It's not the will to win that matters...everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters.
  • I've hired one before and found it to be fine. It's not the lightest bike out there, but at £350 it's a fair price. It was never worth the £850rrp though.
