I have a 2011 Izoard xp pettachi ( black and luminous yellow colour way). It was my first serious road bike, if I am honest I bought it because it looks amazing, it comfortable to ride, handles great, it's fast and gets plenty of comments. The Italian pedigree shines through and I can imagine ever buying anything else now. Next purchase will be a late 90,s colnago arte decor!

I have exactly the same bike harry and bought it for the same reasons but also having read widespread excellent reviews of Wilier bikes.

Will probably upgrade the wheels at some point and may put some Conti GP4000s tyres on soon. Out of interest, have you changed/upgraded anything? All I've changed thus far is the saddle.

Out of interest - what did you change the saddle to? I have an Izoard XP also and am finding the saddle a bit hard work. I have a Charge Spoon on my mountain bike which I think is more comfortable but not a great colour match!! I find the Fulcrum 5 to be more than adequate for me at them moment.

I'm just thinking of changing my Fulcrum 5s for some handbuilts from Ugo. Nothing particularly wrong with the Fulcrums but I am a big bloke (6'4" and 95kg) and I want certainty of build quality/stiffness/weight etc. in the right ratio.

And I have a Charge Spoon in black on mine :)

I replaced it with the Specialized BG saddle from my other bike. The Selle Italia saddle it came with lasted for 1 15 mile ride. It was so painful I had no choice. To be honest, the Spesh BG saddle is very heavy and does not compliment the bike at all, which is bloody gorgeous. I'm probably going to buy a Spesh Romin.

I have put on a Fizik arione saddle which is great and upgraded the bar and stem to Ritchey WCS and put on a Ritchey carbon pro seat post - It looks great. Other than the Fulcrums racing 5's that i am looking at getting now (see other post) I am thinking of putting on a 12-25 cassette. Once I have upgraded the wheels I will be very happy and can't see changing for a number of years - other than the colnago!!

I wouldn't mind one of these but am unsure of the frame sizing. To me, a large looks smaller than a your typical Spesh 56cm. The frames are beautiful nonetheless. A gorgeous bike to look at
