Anyone have any experience or advice on pressure suits. Been toying with the idea for some time, not because I am some big hit champ, quite the opposite! Doing a bit of downhill over Cannock and have taken 1 or 2 tumbles which the full face has saved my boyish good looks! Wondering if a pressure suit might make me that little braver and invinsible
What's the 2008 661 pressure suit like? £70 at CRC which seems like a snatch. Will it be an impulse buy that does nothing more than get me sweating like Barrymore at a Boyzone concert to be cast aside and never worn again till I hurt myself?

I've got the sleeveless presure suit...

IMO its miles better that the one with sleves... gives a bit of freedom in the arms and isn't as hot (although they are both hot).
Couldn't wear one on an all day ride, but they're comfortable for a long FR/DH session0 -
I saw that at CRC too, and bearing in mind I maged to dislocate my shoulder at Llandegla a while back I was wondering how much protection the shoulder pads would give.... I prefer the look of the short sleve version tbh....0

I used to have a pressure suit, not very comfortable and REALLY hot in summer.
Pressure Suit Pro is a totally different league.
You can get it with 50% off right now.....so that's just £10 more than the Pressure Suit.

One thing to note is the difference in sizing between the Pressure Suit and the Pressure Suit Pro.
I'm a medium in the PS, and a large in the PS Pro. You can check 661's website for sizing details.
Seriously, the Pro is in a different class and it's an absolute steal at £80.
I still wouldn't wear it on a long ride in summer, but you don't notice it that much most of the time and it has saved my accident prone bacon many times.
If you are prone to crashing a lot, especially when there's trees and rocks around, it's brilliant.
Anyone that tells you full body armour is overkill for most riding is either very very lucky, or just doesn't ride anything that challenges their ability where there are hard object dotted everywhere (or just doesn't mind taking time off work for injuries!).
It's the best £80 you will spend (other than on a helmet) if you have an affinity for trees. I'm a literal "tree-hugger"0 -
[ooops, double post]0

£80 for the pro is pretty cool.

3 of my friends and i have pressure suit's and are finding them a god send with the slippery conditions!
makes me feel much more confident especially after watching nwd dust to bones lol!
you don't need to wear a jumper with it a light jersey over the top is suffcient even when its cold out.
no doubt in the summer i'll just wear the armour on its own.0
