Dura ace 7900 chainset and FSA mega exo BB - will it fit? and vice versa, will an FSA Gossamer chainset fit straight into a new Dura ace BB?

I only ask because I'm going to buy a new bike for my wife and want to swap the chainsets as hers will come with a 172.5 DA compact which I want on my bike and I'll put my 170mm FSA compact on hers. So if I can avoid swapping BB's I will.

Any advice greatly welcomed

Why are you avoiding swapping the BB's, it's very straightforward and will add barely minutes to the time you'll spend doing the chainsets anyway? The tool costs very little also.

The DA and the Gossamer will fit the same BB. I think the Mega-exo (the one without the pinch bolts) is different, smaller internal diameter on non drive side bearing.

Gossamer will fit a DA BB, I know cus I have that setup on my winter bike.

Bottom End Mega Exo BBs are pants though, wear out really quickly. I'd bit the bullet and get a Shimano BB anyway for your frame.

+1. Now running a 'flood sale' Tiagra from CRC with mine. A bargain at £7.
