Just thought i'd introduce myself.Just bought another road bike after 20 odd years away from them.Last one i had was a Raleigh record sprint!
Been BMXing ever since, i'm getting to old for it now and fancied a complete change so bought myself a Kinesis racelight rc with this spec-

Frame: Kinesis Racelight rc alloy frame
Fork: ITM Millenium carbon / carbon 1 1/8 steerer
Wheels: Shimano WH-R550 hubs and rims.
Tyres: Continental Ultra-Sport Kevlar 700c-23, nearly new
Derailleurs: Ultegra front and rear
Bottom bracket: Ultegra Octalink 6500
Chainset: Triple Octalink 52-42-30
Cassette: Ultegra 27-12, 9-speed
Shifters: Ultegra flightdeck compatible
Brakes: Ultegra front and rear
Stem: Da Bomba 90 mm
Handlebars: Truvativ 42cm 31.8mm clamp dia
Saddle: Selle Royal Viper
Seatpost: CSN carbon fibre 27.2 x 320mm

Bought it for £310,everythings in very good nick.Forgot how fast a road bike is LOL so looking forward to lots of fun on it.Already thinking about building a cyclocross bike  atb Gary

Good to have you on board,
I've got the same bike with simalar spec. If you want a good cheap upgrade, try some of these brake pads http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Kool_ ... 300005952/

ditch your Ultegra ones now, they are as hard as iron and your rims will wear out before they do. The Koolstop, will stop you quicker, last as long and don't wear your rims out. I don't know how but thats the way it is.
