CO2 inflator issue

Hi all,
I purchased a CO2 inflator
http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=A0193
and cartridges
http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=A0425
to help aid me convert to tubeless, as a track pump failed miserably.
Well so did the CO2 inflator.......now i've never used or seen one work before i tried mine. However i expected a short, sharp, high pressured blast of air (or CO2 in this case) to expell from the cartridge and inflate the tyre instantly.
What i got though was very little pressure, infact my dogs farts come out with more pressure than that bloody thing.
I tried it with 3 cartridges just to make sure the first wasn't a dud.
Is this normal...?

Dunno really but will comment that CO2 expanding rapidly cools very rapidly... and freezes I think... and so a "blast" just might not happen.Giant Reign X10

I've never used that particular pump but in my experience, those which rely on a twist action release will not produce the quick blast you're looking for. Even the pumps I have used which have a button release don't give a huge explosive blast of air, possible for the reason stated above. The only way you'll get the sudden blast of air that you're looking for is to use a compressor.
Oh, and BTW....... £2.07 each for 16g Co2 cartridges?????? Are you mad..... :?:

Maybe for the purpose you describe but as a trailside tool in pouring rain I'd rather blow a can of air in and be away than sit there pumping it up manually any day of the week.1998 Marin Hawk Hill
