Marzocchi xc600 ata2 problem

Hi, i have a marzocchi xc600 ata2 fork that has developed a problem in the lower left leg as viewed sitting on bike, when i brake the lower leg has a forward/aft movement accompanied by a knocking noise, the fork has only had light xc/trails use and is in a 'as new' condition, there are no oil/air leaks and was setup by my LBS according to my light 10 stone weight, there has been no air loss during it's use (14 months).
Am open to any knowledge of this problem and fixes/ repairs that may be neccesary,

Is the upper leg moving in the lower ie bushes worn? If so they need new bushings.

14 months of use? might be service time, but sounds like bushes.

If i hold the upper where it slides into the lower leg it feels the same as if you hold the headtube and there is play in the headtube bearings, if i hold the lower leg and apply brake wilst moving bike forward i can feel the knocking coming from within the lower, what do you think ?

Sounds most like bushings. Time for a service.

what is the average price for service/ new bushings ?

Not sure on Zocchis, nick knows better than me, but looking at above 50 quid for a strip down, bushing change and oil change.

Ok thanks supersonic, looks like a trip to my Lbs, whilst on the subject of forks i have another bike with rockshoc judy j4's on, do you know if parts/bushings are available for these as they are around 4 yrs old but still going strong, i have ridden many a mile on the j4's and they have never let me down.

Yes, parts are still available - and I am pretty sure the Darts use compatible parts. You might have to send them away though.
