Any recommendations for a free, simple to use ad blocker? As BR is doing my nut with trackers which are killing loading speeds.

If you're on Firefox, i use Adblock Plus. Works well enough for me.0

Nah, Windows 8!0

lose Windoze & use Firefox + Adblock
Firefox is faster & more secure than Windoze, you can even chose to lose those annoying animated avatars

Just don't like Firefox, prefer Windows to be honest! I don't usually have this problem.0

another firefox plus ad block here.
i dont know anythig bout interweb security or the implications of using certain interweb programs but the ability to get rid of ads and animated stuf makes firefox worth it0 -
If you insist on using the sh!t sandwich that's IE8 then the easiest thing is to install the Google toolbar it comes with an excellent pop up blocker option and integrates very well into the sh!t sandwich.0

Yeah need to update your version of Java manually if the Java control panel isn't working. As for WMP not playing in certain sites. You need: Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin from there. Instructions and pictures Using the Windows Media Player plugin with Firefox you can also test the plugin at the bottom.0 -
