Broken Lapierre zesty 514 - 2010 Swing Arm.

Has anyone seen or heard of this? I bought the bike last week from Evans and i rode it yesterday for the 1st time, the ride was nothing harsh or excessive, merely trundling around the sherwood forest fire roads.

Have heard of the BB shell cracking, but not the swingarm.

Warranty should sort it out.

Back to the shop I'm afraid.

Thanks Andy, i wouldn't mind SO much if id have been to Les Gets but sherwood pines.......... VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED....

There's been a couple of similar fails mentioned on other Forums.Mate of mine snapped the swingarm on both arms (near the drop-outs)on a carbon Lapierre after about 3 rides :roll:

My mates carbon HT was replaced but it was a nasty break and could've been much worse had he not noticed it.Not good on a £3K HT

Think Lapierre are overated anyway,I test rode a 2010 Zesty 314 and wasn't that shot away with it and now with frame issues glad i didn't go with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Of course just my opinion which doesn't account for much!!.
