Mavic Crosstrail or Hope Pro II and 819s????

I want some new wheels for my Marin Rocky Ridge, as I've got it in my head that the standard ones weigh too much, I'm also sick of mending punctures and want some UST rims.
Merlin have Mavic Crosstrails at £269 here. But these won't work with my Fox QR15. My Orange 5 has Hope Pro II and Mavic 819UST rims, which I could fit to the Marin (with a Hope 15mm adaptor) and I could put the Crosstrails on the Five.
I've had a pair of Mavic Crossrides before and for the money I was mighty impressed. Has anyone got experience of the Crosstrails?
Also, what's the weight of the Hope/819 combo? Will I be gaining or loosing weight if I replace them with Crosstrails?
Finally any other suggestions for similar money?

They don't strike me as particularly light for that money. I'd look at a handbuilt pair with some stans rims.0

Cheers Super!
I can't decide whether to upgrade the wheels on the Orange and hand down the old ones to the Marin, or leave the Orange and just get some wheels for the Marin??!?!?!
Why is spending money so complicated?0 -
I just had some super light weight wheels built by Just Riding Along in Sheffield.
Using the new No Tubes Crest rims, super comp spokes and American Classic hubs, for light weight XC wheels they are fantastic and roll so smoothly and silently.
26ers will be under 1500grams I guess.
My 29ers with a power coated finish weighed in at 1585grams0 -
