newbie help please,

currently runiing juicy 3's with a 165mm rear i wish to upgrade to 180/185
i understand i need an adapter, but ive got my hands on some xt rotors (180)
question can i run an xt rotor on avid caliper? as avids are a 185mm do i need a shimano 180mm adapter to match the rotor - would avid caliper fit or do i have to stick with avid rotors?

could i go whole hog - 205mm?
are all 2or 4 piston systems better than singles?

hope that makes sense, your time and help is apprciated

    which XT rotors?

    should be fine.

you will need an adaptor to give the right size so a 180mm adaptor.
