A really 'nice' 10th Anniversary present for me!

An unusual post for you good people,

It's mine and my gf's (pigeon42) 10th anniversary in March, and she wants to buy me something 'nice' to mark the occasion.

A full carbon roadbike is nice, lovely in fact, but a bit (lot) beyond what we agreed to spend....

Can anyone think of one or two items for up to £100 combined that would be a genuinely nice thing to have, and would preferably last a good long time.

I was thinking about a really nice jersey, or bibs and jersey, but some recommnendations would be nice.

Or something else entirely.

I am after a new helmet, namely a Rudy Project Sterling, but they are not out until the Spring time, although I could hang on I guess......

I have of course ordered her the latest Dyson Ball hoover so that will keep her happy.

You say "gf" and then talk about anniversaries - if you aren't married you don't have an anniversary, surely that is the oficial line for blokes?!

Saying that, if its an excuse for getting a present I see why you are going along with it although if I ever bought my wife a hoover for an anniversary present, it would be the last anniversary we ever had....

Please tell me you haven't bought her a vacuum cleaner for an anniversary present.

If so, she should buy you a new drill perhaps. Or something to mend the toilet with.

How about a camera to take on adventures with you? I got one for Christmas - one of the most thoughtful presents I have ever received

How about a can of Pledge or Windowlene and a pair of Marigold gloves? Perfect match for the Dyson

Won't she be able to see the thread? Where is the surprise in that.

Good thinking, Wanda. The tenth anniversary is "Tin" apparently.

Ah no DDD, this is a pressie I can ask her to buy me.

If anything if she sees this thread it works out even better :D

Bugger, sorry I did not explain it very well at all, if at all in fact

I have ordered a pressie for her, and no it is NOT the dyson!

But I have not really come up with a good idea of what she can get for me.

I have amended the subject to avoid confusion.

    Cheers

My girlfriend likes buying me cycling attire.

Bought me a replica jersey which was excellent (she got the right year - team - everything!) with matching cotton cap, and recently splashed out on a rapha cap for crimbo.

Why not ask for a piece luxirous attire? Something you wouldn't normally pay for but is really nice.

Helps if she likes the look of it too....
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.

It is rather fab, isn't it...

    Now there's a tagline!

Well there you go, what else could you need?

Anyway, from the idea/s above, the camera was a good one, and FYI there is a stonking deal on an Ixus 95 for £120 at Amazon right now.
I will also check out the 'nicer' Jerseys as well.

I have just had notification from Rudy Project that the Sterling helmet I am after will be 'under £100' when it comes out in March, so I may hang on for that instead.

Would strongly advise a Panasonic Lumix for approx £135 - they are quite literally all the (point and click) camera you could ever need. I have an Ixus, my gf has the Lumix, and her's is vastly better.
