Got chance of a good deal on an 09 Stumpy, but what's best?

I'd have to say the 09 Expert. Can't see anything that's better on the '10 Comp other than being newer. Which makes sense as the Expert is a few rungs above it in the hierachy.

I'd go for the 09 Expert too, but there again II quite fancy a carbon full suss.

It has 10mm less bounce than the 2010 model but other than that the components are a better, and it looks much nicer in the flesh.

Considering the saving on the 09 model and the price hike on the new mode,l paying the extra few hundred for the 09 model is money well spent (imho)

Must admit that I prefer the look of the '10 model, but can't afford to go for the latest carbon frame.

IMHO 120mm is plenty of travel for an XC bike. However riding the '10 bike with 140mm, I have to admit, it climbs incredibly well.

Looks like the 09 is the best buy though.

Anyone got an 09 Stumpy Expert Carbon?

  • Generally speaking, 2010 models are less well specked than 2009 models. Also, probably more £'s.
