Does anybody know whether you can use the SRec outboard bearings with a Record 11 chainset. The reason i ask is that i prefer the darker colour of the SR to the Record ones, any help will be greatly received

If you use cult bearing you don't need inner seals.

If you are using the normal record bearings you'll need to put the inner seal into the SR cups. But otherwise the SR cups would work fine.

The bearings come with the chainset / cranks. Super Record has ceramic bearings, Record has steel ones.

The seals come with the cups. Because ceramic bearings don't really need to be lubricated, the Super Record cups don't have seals. But you can swap them between the cups pretty easily, and the cups are otherwise identical (except for the colour).

Not sure if you can buy the seals separately, but the cups are really cheap anyway. Buy both the Record and Super Record cups and swap the seals (if you think it's worth £18 to have the black colour).
