Hello People

I've got a set of Mavic Krysiums with campagnolo freehub and wondered if all mavic wheels used the same freehub or are freehubs model specific?

Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject matter?

Cheers,

Dru.

No there are at least three types, Campag, Shimano are the commnest and Mavic did have their own at on point.

    Sorry,

    badly worded question.

I have a Mavic Krysium Wheelset using a campagnolo freehub. Can I remove this freehub and attach to other Mavic Wheels without issue?

Your Ksyriums will have Mavic's FTS-L hub mechanism, so you can swap the Campag-fit ED10 freehub you have currently fitted for the alternative Shimano-fit M10 freehub body and then run Shimano/SRAM cassettes on your wheels.

If you want to swap your Campag ED10 freehub onto other Mavic wheels however (e.g. you're buying some other Mavic wheels which currently have Shimano freehub), then yes you should be able to swap your ED10 freehub onto them providing they have the FTS-L hub
    - which means recent Ksyriums, Aksiums, Cosmics, Carbones - but if they're older wheels you might not be able to.

    Hi Andy,

    Thanks for your explanation.

My current setup is 9 speed and the wheels are 4/5 years old, so will have to check which version have and which wheels I'm looking at getting (either new or secondhand)
