Trying to change my pads. Do I have to remove something before the pin holding the pads in will push out. Is it the r clips. How do you remove these

Cheers

pull and then unscrew the retaining pin.

  • there doesn't appear to be any thread on the pin and the head on the pin doesn't imply that you use a screwdriver i'm still really puzzled

Pin should just push out after the R clip is removed.

  • remove clip with pliers. push pin through bore using small allen key. small force needed to unseat o ring.

small force needed to unseat o ring.

Sometimes a lot of force needed if you have never changed them, O-ring seems to get welded to the caliper, sometimes a drop (and I mean 1 drop) of lube can help free it up, lie the bike on it's side and let it seep in before you try to push it out.
