Just two quick questions - help would be much appreciated!
Will a SRAM X0 rear mech and shifters work with a Shimano front mech?
Secondly, can I use I generic KMC 9 speed chain on either road and mountain bikes? I am looking to get one for my MTB from Merlin and they don't specify if their chains are for road or MTB - does it matter?

well a a sram rear shifter has nothing to do with any front mechs.
yes a sram front shifter will work with a shimano front mech.
9spd chains are just that 9spd and KMC work with any 9spd set up."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
