Attaching bike to turbo trainer?

A friend has just given me an old Tacx turbo trainer with no instructions - it all looks simple enough bar the small matter of attaching the bike
I've had a look at the fittings and there's no way I can currently attach my road bike to it with it's quick release wheel - the QR handle would be in the way.
Do I need to buy a new skewer - a bit of googling reveals the need for a 'bullit skewer'?
Is this what I need and can I purchase one online?
Cheers.

I was in the exact situation as yourself only 2 weeks ago, just buy a new skewer and fit it (it's a piece of piss).
However, have a shop around I picked mine up from Edinburgh cycles for £8.
