Specialized Tarmac SL spraying

Hi

I had a repair done on my frame.

I now either want to get the repair sprayed to match the rest of the frame or get the frame and forks resprayed.

Does anyone know.

- am I likely to be able to buy all the decals required if I replace them all? I couldn't see many looking quickly on eBay.

- would they be easy enough to re apply or a bit hit and miss to get in the right position.

- is the red colour on the sl paint work or stickers laquered over?

    there are two options, spray the decals on using a mask, get a local paint shop to cut them on a cnc sticker machine for you. or buy the decals and apply them over the top of paint, give specilaized a call or send them an email, even pop into your nearest spesh dealer to ask if they can get decals, I bet they have some good ideas!

    Just found this in the Speciliazed FAQs

    "what we have discovered is that if Specialized frame stickers are available, then it opens up the possibility for fraud. Unfortunately we have seen people put Specialized stickers on other repainted bike frames and try to sell them as originals."

    So I guess I will have to think of another way around that.

    Still looking for an answer for Question 3 if anyone has one. I am sort of suspecting the frame is sprayed black, the stickers and the red bits are added by sticker and then lacquered over. but I am just guessing.
