how much travel can you get?

what is the air pressure in then?

    what year are they?

well they have a spring in one side and need some air in the other side.

damping is oil only so there is nothing to seize up or get stiff.

might need a service or maybe they have got very wet and have poor seal letting water in reducing the compression volume?

i would get them opened up and looked at.
