wheelset upgrade

Hi and happy new year
As i said to the main title i would like to upgrade my wheelset making it lighter but strong and durable for my weight(215lbs).i need it for xc/trail riding and small adventure/endurance racing.I currently have a wheelset with hope pro II hubs-dtswiss 5.1d rims-dtswiss competition spokes,panaracer fire xc pro tires 2.1 .Now i have in mind to change the rims and the spokes with Sapim cx-ray.which rims do you recommend me????
Is it worth to save 250-300 gr or I better stay off and save my money
