I'm thinking of getting one of these, already have a Joystick Maxx 2 front light and really pleased with this for commuting.

Can anyone tell me if the redeye rear light is chargeable, or does it need to to be permanently plugged into the front light for power?

cheers all

It runs off the joystick battery, you can run it off a piggyback cell if you want but that makes it expensive, but would probably last ages.

  • Prawny is that a defo option? Wouldn't the Redeye & the Piggyback both have male connectors?

I run the Redeye off a Joystick but could really do with a little more longevity on max.

(May have just solved this myself, do people use the little widget that is supplied to connect to a charger?)

It's what I read when I was doing my light research in the autumn. I bought from HK in the end.

You're probably right about the widget, probably best off asking in MTB supersonic seems to know everything there is to know about lights
