Avid elixir R Opinions please

The time has come to replace my old brakes. I have around £150 to spend. I can get a set of avid elixir r and was wondering if anyone had these brakes and what do they think of them,.

    I have a new Elixir CR. Not tested it a whole lot yet, but it seems great so far - lots of power and a lot more modulation that my previous Juicy 5's.

    Assuming they are cheaper, it's probably worth getting the Elixir 5. As far as I can tell the only difference between the 5 and the R is tool free reach adjust. You can still adjust the reach of the 5 using an allen key and it's not like it's something you need to do every ride.
