Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Do you need the BB? Can get the SLX for £71 from ShIny Bikes but with no BB.

  • The Merlin package for xt or slx seems the best deal as comes with bb and the noah package does not.

Go for the XT excellent value.

Personally I think the SLX one looks better than the LX ans it just as good if fractionally heavier.

The composite middle ring on teh SLX is a bonus, and the rings seem to last longer too.

    Whatever takes your fancy really.
  • Seems silly to save £12 and not get a spare BB, unless you have a servicable BB already

I'd say go for SLX. I've used both and SLX stays new looking for much longer and chain rings stay in shape longer.

That's already happened for me, ordered an XT crankset from CRC on Sunday and now realised it was cheaper on Merlin  Still got a cracking deal though.
