the fork is very rubbish. person of here snapped them pics:

the shock looks like a manitou swinger which is not bad
and the bike isn't too bad either but depends what price it is and the fork spoils it because it's terrible0 -
shock more looks like a DNM.
why are you asking?
would not touch any of them."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

1. Manitou stance, not really great forks, they do the job and no more. The one pair of manitous i owned were pretty baly damped, and those were expensive ones, though they were a few years old.
2. I haven't really formed an opinion on DNM.
3. diamondback moto frame, not a bad frame, looks like an alright beginner bike.0 -

He landed on the peak of the sloped landing and the fork had to absorb
the impact at an angle of how much,........... 40-50deg?
Although I don't know how good the fork is.0 -
Lol yeah i've just got a load of money for christmas and was looking for a new dh bike. Don't think that is the one for me. It's asking price is 4500

Do you realise it has no brakes and needs new tyres? Replacing those could add £200-300 to the overall cost.0 -
yes i do realise, a set of reasonable hydraulics are 80 quid front and back and then the cost of discs and i have tyres ready. so about 100 quid. And i didn't need someone to come in here and talk to me about costs of the bike i wanted to know if it is a good dh bike0

I is not a DH bike it is an AM bike.
but it will go down hills."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

and i already have tyres and 20 quid will do for one more disc and some adaptors. Also, my bad for having a go. But how is this an am bike with so much travel? :?0 -
hayes brakes aren't great, the only ones worth going near are the strokers, do yourself a favour and get some juicy 3's.
And i would have said the diamondback was more freeride than either downhill or all mountain, it's not a downhill bike though.
oh and adaptors are about £5-£10 each, rotors are usually £20-£30 each, if we're talking new (i'd never buy used rotors)0 -
Avid Juicy 3's at Merlin's are £38, but rear, 160 or 203mm rotors at the same price.
So the hose for the front brake has to be shorten.
